ROLE PURPOSE

The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the marketing strategy, budget, annual calendar, platforms, assets, and performance reporting for all of Uniworld's non-direct North American sales channels (B2B and B2B2C), including National Accounts, Strategic Accounts, Travel Suppliers, and Charters. The Trade Marketing Manager will work closely with the Sales senior leadership team to develop and manage trade marketing strategies that support the overall goals for each sales vertical. This position will also be in charge of developing best-in-class brand materials for the Global Sales teams and will guide the Global Marketing trade teams in best practices.

Requirements:


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. National Account Marketing (B2B2C)

  • Manage and execute annual marketing plans for all National Accounts, working closely with the National Accounts team on the annual marketing strategy for each National Account. Includes, but is not limited to AAA, American Express, Chase Travel, Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble, Travel Savers/Affluent Traveler.
  • Ensure all partner-produced content is consistent with Uniworld brand guidelines.

2. Supplier Marketing (B2B2C)

  • Manage and execute annual marketing plans for non-agency suppliers, such as Costco Travel. Ensure all marketing content is supplied promptly and is consistent with brand guidelines.

3. Trade Platforms & Marketing Assets (B2B)

  • Work closely with the Sales leadership team to develop a marketing plan and communication strategy to grow and foster the Travel Advisor segment.
  • Oversee media budget, strategy, and planning for the Travel Advisor trade advertising.
  • Manage content strategy and updates for Uniworld Travel Advisor Training Portal and Resource Center.
  • Manage the brand and tactical content for all GDS partner sites.

4. Marketing Support for Sales Team

  • Manage all marketing requests from the Strategic Account Managers (SAMs)– ensuring timely delivery of all requests with on-brand marketing and creative.
  • Develop strong working relationships with all SAMs and Sales Support staff – establishing clear lines of communication, mutual trust, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years in Marketing Management, preferably with experience in luxury goods/services, travel agency, travel consortia, and/or luxury travel
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional groups, fostering positive relationships across departments, while being the champion for best-in-class marketing programs and activities
  • Experience managing media budgets and strategy, as well as performing and reporting on post-media analytics
  • Experience in managing people
  • Excellent communication skills, with a high comfort level in presenting ideas and programs to senior leadership teams
  • Strong and articulate writing skills – with experience in writing strategic briefs for both creative teams and senior leadership teams
  • Knowledge of how to drive intelligent data analytics questions and reports
  • Expertise in managing outside agencies and vendors
