The mission of Downtown Waynesville is to undertake revitalization activities within the service district and downtown area based on the guidelines of the North Carolina and National Main Street Programs while preserving and sustaining the social, cultural, economic, and historic role downtown as the center of the Waynesville community.

As the primary civic, retail, commercial, cultural, and entertainment center for the community, Downtown Waynesville provides a "Sense of Place" and a "Sense of Community" by cherishing our shared past and embracing a future that emphasizes quality planning and design, a balanced economic sector, mixed-use development, residential opportunities, and a thriving entertainment and cultural arts community. The revitalization plan includes the construction of second-floor residential housing, high-density second-floor in-fill development, parking, and transportation improvements while prioritizing pedestrian comfort and enjoyment, preservation of historical, and civic space.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Promotions Coordinator to join our team. As a Promotions Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing promotional campaigns to drive brand awareness and increase customer engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Duties: - Develop and implement promotional strategies to support marketing objectives - Coordinate the production of promotional materials, including print collateral, digital assets, and merchandise - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of promotions - Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities - Monitor and report on the effectiveness of promotional campaigns - Assist in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content - Support the planning and execution of events, trade shows, and other promotional activities - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in promotions and marketing Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field - Proven experience in promotions or marketing role - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions - Proficient in marketing automation tools and platforms - Knowledge of e-commerce principles and strategies - Familiarity with market research techniques and methodologies - Experience in advertising and content marketing - Proficiency in Google Analytics and social media marketing platforms - Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
