Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wastewater Operator to join our team. As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment, ensuring the proper treatment and disposal of wastewater. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the operation of heavy equipment. Responsibilities: - Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and filtration systems - Monitor and adjust chemical dosages to ensure proper treatment of wastewater - Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests to analyze the quality of wastewater - Record data and maintain accurate records of wastewater treatment processes - Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and repairing - Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments - Assist with the construction and installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems - Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Experience: - Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment is highly preferred - Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues - Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely - Proficient in data collection and record keeping - Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, regulations, and best practices We offer competitive pay based on experience.
