We are a from scratch bakery located in North Scottsdale providing fresh, seasonal, "bet you can't eat just one" baked goods including breakfast pastries, cookies, tarts, cakes, pies, and more. Our reputation for flavor, creativity, and attention to detail is growing along with our customer base. We start early in the morning and are open 7 days/week and most holidays. With our increasing success, we are looking for a pastry assistant who loves to bake, enjoys interacting with customers, and being part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Scale recipes
• Prepare basic doughs, batters, and creams
• Follow recipes, including finishing and decorating
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients and products keeping bakery cases well-stocked
• Keep all equipment clean and in good repair, including keeping the bake shop clean and orderly throughout production
• Follow and manage production schedules
• Track product inventory and assist with ingredient orders
• Work with baristas, restaurant staff, and others to create a memorable customer experience

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year experience in a commercial bakery/pastry kitchen
• Culinary/pastry degree preferred, but not required
• Passion for baking and pastry techniques
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible and dependable with great attention to detail
• Great at multitasking and troubleshooting
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and stand for 8-10 hrs/day
• Current Maricopa County food handler's card or food manager's card

Retention Bonus:

• $100 after 30 days
• An additional $250 after 60 days
