Overview

SUMMARY:

The HR/Legal Intern will, under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, gain on-the-job training to provide support services to TTC Staff. The Tatitlek Internship Program will offer work experience, mentorship, and a wide range of career options to interns while they are attending college. The Program will incorporate professional development and educational learning objectives into their job duties helping them gain relevant work experience to position themselves to be employed by The Tatitlek Corporation upon graduation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for maintaining personnel, confidential, and benefit files, including performing periodic audits of all files.• Collects new hire information and completes employee files.• Search employee files and furnish information to authorized personnel.• Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.• Works with Legal department to manage legal aspects of the Corporation and its numerous subsidiaries.• Assists with other Legal and HR duties.• Attend weekly SHS staff meetings and submit quarterly performance evaluations.• Assist SHS with educational and cultural activities.• Provide administrative support to executive management and board members as necessary. Handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.• Prepare materials for meetings. • Schedule meetings and coordinate meeting arrangements. • Develop and maintain filing system, various reports, contracts and correspondence files. Ensure files are organized in an efficient manner and filing is kept up to date.• Responsible for keeping office supplies on 4th floor stocked and ordering from Admin Department when needed.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:REQUIRED:

• Shareholder or Descendant of The Tatitlek Corporation.• Currently enrolled in an accredited college as a full-time student (12 credits) with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher during the previous semester. • Working knowledge of clerical office practices, procedures, and common office equipment.• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook. • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.• Must be able to multi-task easily, prioritize projects, and meet numerous deadlines with constant interruptions.

Preferred:

• General understanding of computer system and network security beneficial.• General understanding of business operations beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of computers and other computer devices. • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all Tatitlek employees.• Ability to communicate information and ideas both orally and in writing so others will understand.

A satisfactory background screening, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTC are required.
