The Swift Group is looking for a SQL Systems Engineer to join an exciting mission oriented program. The role is located on onsite in Herndon, VA and requires a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage user accounts, group policies, and server configurations across multiple domains.
• Perform Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 troubleshooting for server, network, and system issues.
• Install and configure server software, including SQL servers.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, VB, C#) for automation and system management.
• Utilize Microsoft SCCM for software deployment and management, including software updates.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of Server OS (2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, 2019) and Active Directory services.
• Engineer solutions for virtualized and cloud-compatible systems.
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance system performance and management.
• Collaborate with teams to manage software updates, images, and deployments.
• Prioritize and execute tasks efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on end users.
• Document technical standards, procedures, and diagrams for enterprise-level systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to end users and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 11 years' experience in IT systems engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in a related field.
• Expertise in Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 troubleshooting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Server OS (2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, 2019) and Active Directory services.
• Experience with cloud technologies and virtualization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SCCM/SQL (version 1906 ).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, VB, or C#.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
• Certification in MCSE/MCITP.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services.
• Additional expertise in PowerShell scripting.
• Understanding of enterprise networking best practices.
