QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Association degree (AA) in a scientific discipline from community or four-year college; High School diploma with two/three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, procedures, and manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from departmental manager/supervisor or other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as percentage determination.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets, Database software.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles (herbal powders). The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals (chemicals used to perform microbiological testing) and microorganisms (if PPE and procedures are not followed properly). The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
