Location : Pennsauken NJ

Salary : $60,000 - $72,000

As a DOT Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely processing of liability claims and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

You will evaluate accident reports, collaborate with vendors for subrogation records, and provide essential support to various departments in accident investigations.

Your insights will contribute to the enhancement of safety procedures and the reduction of accidents.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate accident reports, ensuring prompt claims processing and thorough investigation.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain subrogation records for incidents involving third parties.
• Compile and analyze data related to accident reports and filed cases.
• Advise and assist departments in accident investigations, including witness interviews and documentation procurement.
• Identify injury patterns and unsafe conditions to recommend safety improvements and accident reduction strategies.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements :

• Equivalent of four (4) years of college with courses in medical terminology or anatomy, plus three (3) years' experience in medical claims analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation Act and other relevant state / federal statutes and regulations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, body systems, impairments, and their effects.
• Ability to evaluate medical and time-loss claims information and make determinations.
• Strong judgment in interpreting medical facts and determining work capacity.
• Certifications and / or licensing in claims management preferred.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Previous experience in a union environment is a plus.
