Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferences:

  • One year of accounting experience with the State Personnel System.
  • Six months of FLAIR experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Logs all incoming checks to the Bureau on the check log in Excel. Writes cash receipts and updates the cash receipt log. Prepares the deposits for the bank. Logs all deposits and updates the check log with deposit information.

Enters Accounts Receivable invoices for the Administrative Register in FLAIR. Sends monthly requests for past due receivable invoices.

Opens and distributes all incoming mail to the Bureau.

Checks the Bureau’s voicemail throughout the day, logs the calls and makes sure all messages are handled properly per the voice-mail message requests.

Sets up vendors in the Statewide Vendor File for all the Divisions’ refunds and payment requests.

Creates and maintains orderly files for revenue deposits, credit card refunds, journal transfers, and other paper documentation. Puts documents in order, filing them in appropriate cabinets, and sending them to records storage.

Performs other work-related duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, sort data alphabetically, numerically, and categorically.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetical calculations.
  • Ability to use a personal computer, organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
