The Product Analyst is a member of the Agile Team responsible for helping the team and Product Owner describe the business domain by assessing business process impacts and doing feature analysis on the backlog items in order to effectively define and translate business needs into user stories.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understands customer needs in order to support the development of products that will deliver customer value.
  • Elicit needs from the business in order to translate and refine business requirements and features into Feature or Story level requirements.
  • Support Program or Product backlog by effectively supporting the Product Manager or Product Owner to prepare user stories clearly capturing solution intent, known requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborates with the Product Manager or Product Owner to understand the priority around the user stories and the inter-relationship to other features in the backlog.
  • Analyzes the business domain to understand how a feature impacts key stakeholders and associated processes/value streams.
  • Determines success criteria for evaluating the delivery of each user story.
  • Actively participates in PI or iteration planning processes to identify risks and issues and to help create a feasible and successful team plan.
  • Identifies dependencies across systems and teams to deliver the features effectively.
  • Participate in the design and development of the solution, supporting the creation of test plans to ensure the effective testing of technology changes before deployment.
Experience Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology or a related field is preferred. Additional experience in lieu of degree may substitute.
  • Certifications: Achievement of or progress toward: Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is highly preferred. Certification in Process or Performance Management or Quality Assurance/Testing is desirable. Highly encouraged: Membership in local business analysis association.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in providing business analysis in employee benefits, financial services, technology delivery, or other related fields.
  • 4 years’ experience in scaled Agile delivery is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of business processes, metrics and how to improve the processes from a business perspective.
  • Understanding of how to identify and define opportunities for improvement using process improvement tools and techniques to analyze an existing business process.
  • Know how to translate understanding of the business process improvement needs into IT solution requirements to create effective and innovative business solutions.
  • Knowledge of how an overall project development process works.
  • Understanding of how the products impact value to the customer and business metrics.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and
comprehensive benefits
including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
Salary Range:
$90,250.00 - $153,500.00
