Material Handler
Salary : $18 / hr.
Location : Manassas, VA (fully on-site)
Industry : Government / Defense
Employment Type : Long-term contract with the potential for permanent hire
Clearance : Ability to obtain
Shift : 4 days, 10 hours Monday - Thursday 3 day weekend!
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Prior experience with pallet jack and forklift highly desired
Responsibilities :
- Responsibilities include moving material between work centers and other locations throughout the facility.
- Candidate will also assist with inventory storage and warehouse duties as required.
- Expedites, routes, and dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments.
- Takes appropriate action to expedite materials in a timely and efficient manner and reports on completion dates, material deliveries etc.
- Ability to use a pallet jack, forklift and able to lift & move heavy items (50lbs.)
- Opens containers using hand tools. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand;
loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.
Conveys materials using a pallet jack, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices
