Summer Camp Qualified Teacher
Seasonal Position- 40hrs/week; $28-35/hr.

Job Overview:
Join our vibrant summer camp as a Qualified Teacher and contribute to an enriching educational experience for campers. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator with a passion for fostering learning through engaging activities and creating a positive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons, fostering curiosity and critical thinking among campers.
Foster a love for learning by incorporating hands-on activities and projects.
Implement age-appropriate, creative, and interactive lesson plans aligned with camp themes and educational goals.
Facilitate discussions, group activities, and experiential learning to enhance the overall educational experience.
Individualized Support:
Recognize and address the diverse learning needs of campers, providing additional support or challenges as required.
Offer constructive feedback to help campers grow academically and personally. Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies.
Promote a culture of respect, cooperation, and enthusiasm for learning. Communication with Parents/Guardians:
Establish open and regular communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on camper progress, achievements, and any concerns.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences or meetings as needed. Collaboration with Camp Staff:
Work collaboratively with other camp teachers, counselors, and program coordinators to ensure a cohesive and integrated camp experience.
Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development activities.
Safety and Well-being:
Prioritize the safety and well-being of campers during all educational and recreational activities.
Collaborate with camp staff to ensure the implementation of safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Previous experience as a teacher, preferably with experience in a camp or informal education setting.
Passion for Learning and Creativity:
Genuine passion for education and a creative approach to delivering lessons.
Ability to inspire curiosity and a love for learning among campers. Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and camp staff.
Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner. Adaptability:
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced camp environment.
Ability to adjust teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
