Coming Soon! The Springs at The Waterfront is situated along the southern facing Vancouver riverfront and will provide approximately 250 private residences for those 62 and older. This state-of-the-art, 12-story senior living community will offer a variety of floor plans that feature stunning views. Job Description:

The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for all things fun and wellness! This position is specifically responsible for planning and implementing meaningful and engaging programs for our residents, with an emphasis on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness: Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, Social, Emotional, Vocational, and Environmental. The Springs at The Waterfront is looking for an energetic, creative, talented individual with polished presentation skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for helping people Live Life to its Fullest.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the preparation and execution of engaging entertainment and programming for our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents
• Informing residents of daily activities through various mechanisms (including cloud-based platforms)
• Planning, coordinating, and assisting with tasteful decoration of the community for special events and holidays
• Consulting with and supervising the Life Enrichment team members
• Engage residents in program development
• Make routine visits to residents, being present and engaged within the community each day
• Cultivate a positive culture of warmth, patience, compassion, fun, and joy!
• Coordinate with the Health Services Department in regards to resident care plans
• Collaborate with other departments for event planning purposes
• Assist with the development of the departmental budget and monitor monthly expenses as budgeted
• Maintaining professional certifications including but not limited to; Personal Training Certification, CPR and First Aid

Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of experience in senior living/wellness program development and management
• Event planning experience preferred
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public
• Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Maintain current CPR and first aid certification
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach

Job Type: Full-time

Salary:

The Springs Living provides a competitive compensation package for the Life Enrichment position, with an annual salary range of $50K-$80K depending on experience. This position may be also eligible for a year end discretionary bonus.
