The Sanneh Foundation is Hiring a Nutrition Service Coordinator Near Saint Paul, MN

JOB OVERVIEW:

This key position is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding nonprofit committed in areas of Health & Wellness, and Community Outreach. This full-time position’s primary responsibilities include coordinating intake materials and equipment, administrative support of the department, weekly data entry and monthly data reports. Responsible for supporting nutritional services programming as well as data pulling for grant and organizational reporting. The Nutritional Services Coordinator (“NSC”) will coordinate and assist in the planning of day-to-day nutritional services programs that include both on-site distributions and deliveries. The NSC will coordinate all front-end intake processes and communicate to service partners to ensure all distributions are running smoothly and effectively under the direction of the Nutritional Services Manager.

POSITION ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Organize departmental data as requested by the Nutritional Department or Assistant Manager:
    1. Partner with team members to maintain timely entry and integrity of intake data.
    2. Track weights and donations and costs of all food.
    3. Carry out and update mechanisms to pull impact reports or create summaries.
  • Work with Assistant Manager and team to ensure accurate daily food shelf processes and procedures: 
    1. Assist food ordering from food banks and produce distributors as needed.
    2. Regularly update department calendars for order logistics and program details.
    3. Ensure compliance for food box program participant data and printed materials.
    4. Support staff and volunteers to refine intake and food program processes.
  • Assist in the organization and execution for Mobile Food Shelf Events:
    1. Monitor inventory of intake materials, printed forms, and charging equipment.
    2. Coordinate partner communications with support of the Department Manager.
    3. Unloading trucks & assisting with food box packing and distribution set up on site.
  • Represent TSF to support and/or establish collaborative relationships with businesses, churches, other organizations, and individuals interested in donating food and/or products and/or volunteering to Conway Park or TSF.
  • Follow safety guidelines to minimize risk exposure to TSF. 
  • Participate in special projects as required for the department and others.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Food Shelf or Nutritional Services Experience. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suites. 
  • Robust understanding of the holistic needs of the community. 
  • Volunteer Management. 
  • Excellent organizational, project coordination and data management skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Results-driven and skilled in continuous improvement processes. 
  • Can load, unload, and stock product as needed. This position is at times physically demanding.
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Emotional maturity and adaptable to workload demand(s) and requests are required. 
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if necessary. 
  • Ability to utilize complete discretion while handling confidential and sensitive information. 
  • Conversational Spanish including numbers

MINIMUM & REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

  • 2 years plus work experience in Data Entry or Food Shelf or Nutritional Services Experience.
  • Ability to communicate positively with a diverse community. 
  • Cooperative team member who can also work well independently. 
  • Robust understanding of the holistic needs of the community. 
  • Possess problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Calendar, Drive and Docs.
  • A valid Minnesota driver’s license and reliable transportation.
