The Sand Dunes is Hiring a General Manager Near Carolina, NC

Do you flourish in a fast-paced atmosphere where you can demonstrate your leadership abilities? If this is the case, we have an excellent opportunity for you as our next general manager. Our busy hotel requires a creative thinker who can introduce new ideas to increase revenue and establish customer relationships to encourage repeat business. You will not only lead our team, but you will also need to provide the best service to our guests. Day-to-day duties will involve hiring new employees, training them, managing all hotel departments, and guaranteeing outstanding guest satisfaction. Our ideal candidate has 5 or more years of experience leading a hotel or hospitality team and is dedicated to providing our customers with a 5-star experience. $65,000 annually

Responsibilities:
  • Guide the leaders of each hotel department in developing goals, objectives, and a plan of action for achieving them
  • Design a budget that guarantees customer satisfaction and quality of services while keeping expenses controlled and profit margins maximized
  • Inspire your staff through leadership, vision, and operational strategies that drive financial success by providing exceptional guest service
  • Devise the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel's rooms, public areas, and grounds in order to cultivate a reputation for quality
  • Construct and manage a straightforward and effective marketing strategy to promote the hotel's services and amenities
  • The high-quality care, well-being, and overall recognition of our guests. Making sure that each guest experience exceeds expectations. Interfacing with guests on a daily basis and resolving any concerns that may arise.
  • Directly oversee the facility operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, food and beverage, catering and events, and human resources.
  • Directly supervise all managers and line-level staff to ensure proper completion of all duties while adhering to specific property and Lark Hotels policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of above departmental employees while working in conjunction with the RM – Lark Hotels to ensure resolution to any and all employee-related challenges or concerns across department lines while adhering to the property and Lark Hotels’ policies.
  • Foster a positive and cooperative work environment between staff and management. Maintain effective and efficient communication across departments.
Qualifications:
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
  • Exhibit excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • You must have previous experience in a manager role overseeing a team, preferably in a hospitality role
  • You must have 5 or more years of experience working in the hospitality field
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred
