Job Description

Position Summary : The Data Processing & Volunteer Background Check Coordinator communicates with and responds to donors regarding their donations, questions, and inquiries about The Salvation Army, and run background checks before volunteers begin volunteering.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Communicate with donors and address their concerns and needs by telephone, email and / or mail.
• Update account changes for general donation information in donor database.
• Become familiar with Salesforce CRM database.
• Work to continuously improve CRM and leverage its capabilities.
• Understand CRM capabilities, trends, and future opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices.
• Deliver performance reports, pull, and assemble data for reporting at Committee meetings.
• Data entry and donation batching back up as necessary due to donation volume.
• Understand donation batching and lockbox process.
• Commit to intimate knowledge of donor database and draw basic donor data reports with data and intention integrity.
• Run background checks on volunteers before they begin volunteering.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Education / Experience :

• Associates degree preferred, but not required, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :

• Knowledge of merge and the ability to merge data into thank you and memorial letters.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.

Computer Skills :

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
• Willingness to learn new software as needed

Certificates and Licenses :

• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
• Must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
