Job Summary

Monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army recovery / housing program; guards the security the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with housing rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25lbs).

Education and Experience :

High School Diploma or preferred but not required, and six months experience working with the public with experience work in a security or social service environment preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications : First Aid and Certification

Work is performed in a normal social service housing environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
