Job Summary

Coordinates and transports residents to and from pre-approved destinations; schedules testing and maintains accurate and complete records;

reports and logs containing pertinent information regarding UA and Alcohol testing of residents; ensures proper UA and Alcohol testing equipment and supplies are available as required by the BOP contract Statement of Work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of general office procedures and practices. Knowledge of basic record keeping practices and procedures

Ability to communicate effectively with residents in order to control, lead, and motivate behavior. Ability to work with the public encompassing all types of behaviors.

Ability to work independently and with limited supervision while enforcing established policies and procedures.

Ability to drive vehicle in town and out of town to transport clients to and from pre-approved sites.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or and

one year experience performing security or social service work preferred, or

Ability to pass all additional BOP contract required background checks.

Certifications

Valid State Drivers License

CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to perform mathematical computations.

Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like with the exception of driving conditions.
