Job Summary
Assists with planning, coordination, supervision, and direction from Corps Officers; Maintains program records; cleanliness and orderliness of Corps property;
Ensures the safety of the children and fosters a fun environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of Child Development. Knowledge of age appropriate programs for children. Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or
six months’ professional experience in social and recreational services, teaching, and / or the supervision of children, and experience maintaining grounds,
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both orally and in writing.
Ability to plan and organize work. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and / or push / pull light, moderately heavy (25-50lbs.
materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility : duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment, where physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like may occur.
