About this opportunity :

The Program Aide plans, implements, supervises members, and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character, and Citizenship.

The Program Aide also transports club members to community outings / field trips.

Key responsibilities :

• Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote and stimulate program participation.
• Register new members and participate in their club orientation process.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Effectively implement and administer programs, services, and activities for Club members.
• Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch at all times.

Prepare periodic activity reports.

• Assist with implementation of outreach efforts to sustain and increase program membership and program participation.
• Assist in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order.
• Assist in maintaining all storage areas keeping them orderly and clean.
• Report all repairs, maintenance, and janitorial needs to supervisor.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• May participate in special programs and / or events.
• Required to drive Club vehicle to transport club participants and / or foods / equipment, etc.
• Assist in the conservation of all Salvation Army resources.
• Abide by and enforce all Salvation Army policies and procedures.
• Be willing to assist in any way asked to fulfill the mission of The Salvation Army.

What we are looking for in you :

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or AND previous work in related field with Children and Youth, preferred; Commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid State Driver’s License, required; CDL license, preferred

First Aid and Certification (or ability to obtain)
