POSITION SUMMARY

A Summer Project Crew Member will assist in completing various summer property projects for The Salvation Army College for Officer Training. These projects will include but are not limited to: taking inventories, moving furniture, light cleaning, painting, and moving and sorting boxes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inventorying Furniture and Kitchen Items
  • Basic Cleaning and Disinfecting
  • Moving or Rearranging Furniture
  • Moving and Sorting Storage Boxes

Other Responsibilities:

  • Taking inventories of furniture and kitchen supplies
  • Disassembling and moving furniture
  • Light cleaning and disinfecting
  • Inventorying and cataloging storage items
  • Sanding and painting walls

Materials & Equipment:

  • Computer and Printer
  • Photocopying Machine
  • Scanner
  • Facsimile Machine
  • Cisco IP Phone
  • Smartphone

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent research and written communication skills; strong detail, proofreading, editing, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality; reliability, flexibility and creativity.
  • Proficient use intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting software
  • programs highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required, along with exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED and experience in basic cleaning and organizing

Certifications:

Valid Drivers License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

  • Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
  • Ability to lift up to lbs. (usually file boxes).
