Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team. As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks to upkeep the facility, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining gardens
- Use hand tools and power equipment to complete various maintenance projects
- Assist with building repairs and renovations as needed
- Irrigate plants and maintain proper watering schedules
- Provide tree care, including pruning and removal when necessary
- Perform lawn care tasks such as fertilizing, aerating, and seeding
- Assist with hardscape maintenance, including cleaning walkways and repairing pavement
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques and practices
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
