WHO WE ARE
The Salty is an artisan donut shop that focuses on chef-made, craft donuts that rotate based on seasonality. We use nothing but the highest quality ingredients and make everything in house! Naturally, we don’t use any artificial ingredients in anything we make, because, well - that’s gross! If we wouldn’t serve it to our own family, we definitely wouldn’t serve it to yours! Coffee? Yep! We serve Intelligentsia Coffee and have crafted a coffee menu that pleases all palettes. Lastly, what makes The Salty- The Salty, is our obsession with customer service. Today’s day and age it’s so easy to get lost in your phone, lost in the madness of the world, so we try to create an environment that is an escape from that hazy life. A place that you know as a customer you’ll receive a positive consistent donut and experience each time. This obsession all starts with you.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Salty is a fast-paced, team-oriented operation. The primary focus of our company’s leadership team is to lead by example, inspire, effectively and openly communicate and be collaborative with the rest of their team. There’s no “I” @ The Salty. There’s nothing that anyone is “too qualified” to do. We’re all working with the same intentions and for the same goal, which is to make The Salty not only the most delicious donut shop around, but also a benchmark in the F&B industry when it comes to experiential food and beverage. Job Summary:
The Marketing Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Create a team environment that encourages accountability, high standards, and innovation.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the department. Continuously improve team and job structure and ensure clear leadership accountabilities are in place. Identify talent of direct reports and assist with their growth and development plans.
· Facilitate regular, ongoing communication with cross-functional teams.
· Balance between short-term lead-focused, long-term brand awareness, and customer retention programs.
· Craft and communicate the brand narrative, leading the development and execution of the annual marketing plan,
· Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing plan, articulating essential initiatives, objectives, and performance metrics.
· Conceptualize, plan, and execute a calendar of events that align with the brand and resonate with the target audience.
· Strong networking and relationship-building skills, particularly with media, influencers, and community stakeholders.
· Manage marketing budget and show project ROI.
· Directs and implements the organization’s advertising and promotional activities.
· Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
· Identifies new market segments that will benefit from company products.
· Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
· Maintains knowledge on emerging products and services.
· Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
· Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department’s operating budget.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Bilingual, Spanish-English, native level.
· Reside in Miami-Dade County or willingness to relocate.
· Ability to travel 25% nationally and internationally.
· Experience creating data-driven and creatively inspiring integrated marketing strategy.

· Brand Builder- deep understanding of marketing & communications, including a strong sense of message development and creative design to both engage audiences and maintain brand consistency; can craft nuanced messages for unique project needs and is able to use key design tools as needed (e.g., Canva).
· Creative Go-Getter – ability to work independently and drive projects forward to completion; thrives in a fast-paced environment, constantly looks for opportunities to strengthen the organization, and thinks creatively when problem-solving and addressing marketing and communications needs.
· Expert Communicator - excellent written and verbal communication skills, including listening; adept storytelling ability, including identifying compelling stories and creating content (written, video, etc.) that compels people to action.
· Project Manager - ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines; ability to manage contractors and vendors as needed, providing tailored feedback and managing deadlines.
· Data Analyst - knowledge and proficiency with key marketing analytics tools and dashboards to analyze and showcase data for effective decision-making (e.g., Google Analytics)
· Meticulous – Pays close attention to detail, ensuring that content created by the communications team is accurate and precise.
· Copyeditor – ability to review writing and identify how to optimize the content, and correct grammatical and spelling errors.
· Constant Learner – Ability to become an expert in The Miami Foundation's brand voice, strategic decisions, and initiatives to develop a deep understanding of the organization that guides decision-making in marketing & communications; open to new ideas and able to incorporate constructive feedback.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
· Proven experience (7 years) in a senior marketing role within the restaurant/hospitality industry, with a successful track record of opening and building new concepts.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
