The Salt Lick BBQ is looking for hard working self motivated individuals to join our team.

Being a Food Runner or Expo at Salt Lick is a demanding and fast pace job which requires an individual who has composure under pressure as well as gives exceptional customer service to all guest. Secondly, the individual must take pride in his/her work area and always keep a clean and safe environment. Lastly, all employees of Salt Lick must be willing to learn new things and be a team player to help the Salt Lick team be successful.

Responsibility

The Expo's primary responsibility is to deliver our delicious food to our customers' table and ensure the correct plates go to the correct tables. The Expo may also be required to assist servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers during the course of their employment.

Essential Functions

• Expediting food to guests' table
• Arranging plates on tray to safely deliver food to the guests' table
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Expo station
• Maintain the inventory level of the Expo station
• Ensure all plates are correct and presented to the Salt Lick Standard
• Greet guests as necessary
• Give all guests the right of way
• Communicates with kitchen staff respectfully and can clearly voice any instructions needed to kitchen staff
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.
• Communicate with server, hosts, and the kitchen to ensure all guest requests are met.
• Assist servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and managers as needed
• Thank guests as they are leaving

Other Job Functions

Assist the kitchen, servers, hosts, bartenders, and managers throughout the shift. Cleans floors, organizes, and cleans storerooms. Use cleaning compounds. Complete other duties as required.

Personal Requirements

• No Previous restaurant experience required
• Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests
• Be able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop constantly
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Food safety certification, if mandated by state or local law
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Ability to work efficiently and rapidly
• Personal cleanliness

Working Conditions

• Expos must withstand the pressure and strain of standing for hours at a time, lifting trays of food, and working continually on their feet
• They preform duties that require bending, lifting, reaching, and turning
• They transport heavy trays (weighing up to 50 lbs) to and from the bar, dining room, and patio.
• They are under constant pressure to get food to tables quickly and efficiently, while ensuring safety and quality.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Weekly day range:

• Every weekend

• Food Runners: 1 year (Preferred)
