- Conduct 98-100% of instruction in Spanish.
- Teach grade level content (Spanish Language Arts, Math and Science) in Spanish
- Structure activities in the classroom to encourage students to engage in both language input and output, to facilitate oral language production and comprehension.
- Plan complementary, biliteracy lessons with the English grade level teacher
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- The most successful candidates will be working on or have attained a teaching credential/Masters degree as well as have experience teaching Spanish in a dual language or bilingual program.
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
