JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST BE RESIDENTS OF VT, NH, MA, OR NY.

The Account Assistant will manage non-contact processes in support of Commercial Lines team, enabling the Account Managers to focus on customer needs. The Assistant Team will collaborate to process and present in a timely manner all incoming and outgoing communications to carriers and customers, under the direction of and in conjunction with the Account Manager team. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Request and process outgoing policy changes for Account Managers in an organized and timely manner, including 2nd requests and inquiring with carriers through receipt to verification and processing of incoming endorsements.
• Review renewals, presenting them to AM’s with an outline of differences and prepare them for delivery, sending them to the client as directed by the AM.
• Manage the direct bill nonpayment cycle, communicating with AM as required.
• Process audits, miscellaneous carrier correspondence, and other service-related mail.
• Maintain the integrity of and ensure compliance with management system standards. 
• Meet departmental service standards for client requests such as Certificates, EPI’s or Auto ID cards.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with agency and company personnel.
• Follow all systems, procedures and insurance company regulations.
• Work as a team with other staff members to accomplish production goals.
• Other projects as needed, directed by management or as skills & experience allow

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of or willingness to comprehend commercial lines coverage basics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess basic math skills, be accurate and detail oriented.
• General computer and technology skills and/or aptitude. 

The compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to the base salary, we offer are also offering a $1000 signing bonus.
