Location: Syracuse, NY, 13202 Skills: Homelessness, shelter, Case management, Social Services, emergency services, management, Clients, Housing The Syracuse Emergency Shelter Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Shelter Manager in the day-to-day operations of the emergency shelter. The Assistant Manager will work closely with clients to provide case management services and ensure that they receive the necessary support to transition out of homelessness. Responsibilities: Assist the Shelter Manager in the day-to-day operations of the emergency shelter Provide case management services to clients Ensure that clients receive the necessary support to transition out of homelessness Manage and supervise shelter staff Coordinate with social service agencies to provide additional support to clients Ensure that the shelter is clean and well-maintained Assist with fundraising and grant writing efforts Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve shelter operations Requirements: Bachelor's degree in social work or related field Experience working with homeless populations Strong case management skills Knowledge of social services and emergency services Experience in management and supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of housing resources and programs Pay Range: $60,000 per year
