The Clinical Director is responsible for providing individual and group supervision to Clinical Social
Workers. The Clinical Supervisor is the primary person responsible for providing clinical oversight
to the program.
Job Duties
Meet individually with each Clinical Social Worker and intern weekly to provide clinical
consultation, oversight and training.
Facilitate weekly 2-hour group supervision for the Clinical Social Workers
Ensure that documentation meets Medi-Cal requirements, when applicable.
Be available for on-call coverage
Act as a liaison between the STRTP and outside agencies, including private and public
agencies.
Positively and professionally represent the agency with external partners and individuals.
Through example and consultation, guide staff to develop creative interventions for youth,
which promote the agency’s mission and vision
Review and co-sign assessments and needs and services plans.
Ensure Clinical Social Workers complete all paperwork by the end of their shift and that all
charts audit-ready.
Provide back-up administrative support as needed
Maintain an active presence in the milieu in order to develop an accurate assessment of the
needs of the program.
Work to resolve programmatic issues and concerns in a thoughtful and efficient manner.
Ensure supervisees are meeting the performance expectations and standards of their
position.
Provide considerate and direct feedback to supervisees regarding job performance on a
regular basis, not less than one time monthly.
Ensure reporting protocols are followed including, child protection reports.
Co-facilitate individuals and/or family sessions with social work staff, when necessary.
Review and sign needs and services plans within 10 calendar days of client admission.
Review, sign and date progress notes written by program staff within 7 days of the service
date.
Deliver advanced clinical trainings to staff, including trainings tailored for program
needs/populations.
Provide crisis intervention for clients as needed.
Any other duties, as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
• Doctorate Degree or Master’s degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or
university
• Must be licensed as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist
• At least 2 years post-licensure experience providing clinical supervision
• At least 21 years of age

• Clear TB test, health screening, criminal background check, and any other mandatory State
or Federal licensing and certification requirements.
• Possess a valid driver license; Have access to a reliable and insured vehicle Have a clean
DMV print out
o no more than one point if under 25 years of age
o no more than two points if over 25 years of age
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Must complete criminal record review and a Child Abuse Center Index check in accordance
with applicable law.
