I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of the Ambulatory Services Division (ASD), manages the daily clinic operations and directs the system-level administration, management, coordination, and integration of programs, regarding patient care activities and services for the areas assigned.
  • Ensures services, functions, programs, and activities support short and long-range strategic plans of the ASD and meet the goals and objectives of The Queen’s University Medical Group and The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS).
  • Ensures multi-site clinic operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and all policies/procedures of QUMG and QHS.
  • Assumes and/or partners at a system level responsibility for standardization of assigned programs and policies.
  • Develops, coordinates, implements, and assesses the effectiveness of specialty programs and projects to promote, enhance, and expand services provided for areas assigned.
  • In collaboration with the Ambulatory Administrator, Physician Leaders and QUMG leadership, develops outpatient clinical programs to ensure the delivery of quality care and continuity of care for patients and families across multiple geographical locations.
  • Works as a collaborative member of the leadership team, including building professional partnerships within the Clinical Programs, Ambulatory Services Division, and QHS’s leadership team and other entities.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
  • Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
  • Frequent: walking.
  • Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
  • Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Work environment is fast paced and may be stressful.
  • Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at any given time.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management or related field preferred.
  • Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse preferred.

B. EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three (3) years progressive supervisory or leadership experience in a health care setting, medical office, or clinic environment.
  • Experience to demonstrate the following:
  • o Solid knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and/or other information systems functionality including access and maintenance of system controls.o Strong leadership, facilitation, and project management skills.o Skill in dealing with multi-disciplinary teams and an appreciation in working effectively with competing priorities.o Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet

Pay: $131,619.00 - $171,104.00 per year
