Our Early Intervention program provides support services and resources in Methuen, North Andover, and Andover.All new hires participate in a paid onboarding program learning how Early Intervention helps children and families in a home-based setting or at our childcare center. As a member of a cross-functional team you will establish supportive working relationships, participate in personal development and mentoring programs, as well as create your own flexible work schedule.The JobThe Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides interventions to children and families in the EI Program. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will participate in in-home services as well as at childcare centers and providers. The SLP screens for the risk or presence of speech, language, cognitive communication, and feeding/swallowing difficulties in child’s daily activities, home/community and advises on alternatives consistent with their needs and capabilities. The SLP contributes to the development of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) including strategies and family outcomes to address the child’s individual needs. The SLP provides services to clients through coordination and collaboration with team members, public/private and community service providers.Requirements•Master’s degree required & licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the MA Board of Registration in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Certificate of Clinical Competence is not required if completing Clinical Fellowship year.•Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pediatric setting working with children under the age of 5.•Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.•Knowledge of developmental milestone/delays in children, and the impact of emotional, behavioral, and neurological disabilities. •Must hold current, valid driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of insurance coverage for travel between home visits.•Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills with computer skills to complete position required documentation.•Ability to demonstrate flexibility, empathy and compassion for children and families.•Sufficient computer and technical skills to complete position required documentation.•Ability to work collaboratively with families, team members and other professionals.•Outstanding time management, organizational, problem solving and multitasking skills.•History of maintaining client confidentiality, professional boundaries, displaying integrity, and credibility.Our organization provides a supportive environment which values and promotes team collaboration, creative thinking and innovation with ongoing support and mentoring for each employee’s professional development.To apply, please visit our careers page at: https://mypcd.org/careers/.
