The Potter's House is Hiring a Children Ministry Director-Fort Worth Near Fort Worth, TX

The Children's Ministry Director will lead and administered comprehensive programs for children ages infant through 12 years. And providing leadership to and supervision of staff members and volunteers involved in the Children’s Ministry. The position seeks to promote character, respect, and integrity in the spiritual development of children serviced by The Potter’s House of Dallas, Inc.

Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Establish departmental goals and objectives by prioritizing related programs, managing the use of facilities, planning and appropriate budget, delegating tasks and evaluating progress regularly.
  • Work with appropriate departments and staff to carry out the ministry of the church.
  • Attend Departmental Head meetings as a resource and for informational purpose.
  • Oversees the care of equipment related to Children’s Ministry purchase supplies, materials and equipment as authorized.
  • Coordinate Children’s Ministry activities with the church master program calendar schedule.
  • Write and update forms, departmental manuals and handbooks as needed.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive outreach programs for children.
  • Review and select curriculum materials and educational tools for children’s ministries program.
  • Administer the work of the Children’s Ministry Department by encouraging teamwork and mutual support and provide leadership and nurture to staff members and volunteers who work in the Children’s Ministry area.
  • Follow-up with Children’s Ministry Coordinators the coordination of volunteers the general order, supply, maintenance, equipment and cleanliness of the facilities classroom and materials used by Children’s Ministry.
  • Work with appropriate church staff or volunteers to construct of obtain materials needed for Children’s Ministry services.
  • Overseer the scheduling of volunteer’s monthly work schedules, training session, and orientations.
  • Performs annual reviews for Children’s Ministry Coordinators and Part-time staff.
  • Complete payroll for staff.
  • Provide monthly report to Associate Pastor of area of responsibility.
  • Cooperate with Associate Pastor or Pastors by performing any other duties when requested to do so.
  • Coordinate and work in conjunction with Associate Pastor and Children’s Ministry Coordinators on outreach community services with area elementary and middle schools.
  • Attend weekly departmental, organization, and company staff meeting (when presence is requested) and other meetings where presence is requested for input from the Children’s Ministry Director.
  • Meet with Associate Pastor (AP) and Senior Associate Pastor (SAP) as needed at time mutually agreed upon.
  • Participate in an annual evaluation with the AP and SAP.
  • Be in contact with office staff and provide a timely and accurate schedule of education events.
  • Maintain adequate teaching/learning resources and supplies. Arrange for adequate facilities for classroom
  • Actively encourage children to participate in worship, children’s activities, music, and educational activities of the church, Encourage participation in citywide events.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must demonstrate deep spiritual Christ-like leadership.
  • Proven-strong organizational, project management, administrative, and leadership skills.
  • Highly effective in communicating with internal and external entities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team building environment.
  • Deeply personable, social, hospitable and welcoming.
  • Exhibit deep passion to expand Student Ministries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of volunteers or employees of organization.

  • Maintain some regularly schedule office hours in order to be accessible to children, parents, staff, and leadership.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Wednesdays and Sundays are required
