The Director of Digital Marketing is the lead digital strategist for King & Columbus (K&C), the full-service, in-house marketing that is a sister-company to The Post and Courier. This position oversees King & Columbus’ digital marketing department which consists of six full-time staff - digital strategists and campaign managers. The team, under the leadership and direction of the Director of Digital Marketing, manages all of The Post and Courier and K&C’s client digital campaign trafficking, optimization, reporting and analysis. This role is pivotal in driving revenue, positively impacting client retention and refining media buying offerings, ensuring campaigns are well-executed and profitable. The Director of Digital Marketing sets and maintains high standards for campaign management, optimization and reporting. It is imperative that the position stays current with new marketing technologies. This position is client-facing and is hands-on in developing personalized marketing strategy recommendations based on client objectives. Additionally, the manager ensures the financial effectiveness of media solutions and maintains strong relationships with external partners. This position will be based in either The Post and Courier’s Columbia or Charleston offices.

Physical Requirements, Work Environment and Travel:
Regularly required to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. The job requires reaching with hands and arms, bending and stooping; light to moderate lifting of 15-30 pounds. The job requires hearing, speaking and writing with close eye work on a computer screen.
The worker is generally subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
