Accounting Manager
Direct Hire
2 days onsite in Boston

Must Haves:
- Management experience
- Fund accounting/reporting & investor reporting experience
- Real Estate or similar industry experience
- Debt experience
- Yardi experience
- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements and supporting materials for accuracy and reasonableness, consolidation and elimination entries, and reconciliations
- Oversee the fund accounting department for a portfolio of equity investments, properties, including supervision of the daily workflow of the accounting staff, routine and non-routine assignments, and monthly financial statement close process
- Responsible for the management of the external audit process
Liaison with property management at remote locations as well as various departments within the company - Responsible for monthly accounting close of various equity investments, properties, including variance reporting
- Reviews equity investment and property budgets and forecasts
- Produces quarterly reports in support of Investor reporting
- Support portfolio management as needed in the process of compiling the quarterly executive books
- Perform REIT qualification testing on a quarterly basis
- Preparation of related party and joint venture partner activity reconciliations and related payments of intercompany balances and distributions
- Assist in review of joint venture documents, loan agreements and waterfall calculation set up and maintenance.
- Manage and develop accounting staff
- Consistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion.
