The Pixie Project is Hiring a Part-Time Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Near Portland, OR

Part-Time Certified Veterinary Technician Description

The Pixie Project is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Certified Veterinary Technician to join our diverse team. The Pixie Project is a Non-Profit Animal Rescue that operates a Low-Cost Veterinary Clinic. Our team of certified professionals perform affordable spay/neuter surgeries and provides other miscellaneous veterinary services to assist pet owners with maintaining the health and happiness of their animals.

We are looking for an individual who is focused and detail-oriented, that can thrive as part of a high-volume, fast-paced surgery team. Ideal candidates for this position will be passionate about our spay/neuter program, and have a proven understanding of safe/humane animal handling and veterinary technical skills.

This is a Part-Time, “At-Will” position, and the rate of pay is $35 hourly; and will be dependent on surgey days with 10-15 hours weekly.

Qualified applicants must be comfortable working in an office, shelter, and clinic environment with animals of varying ages, health statuses, and temperaments. Applicants should have proficiencies in using computers, telephones/smartphones, and email. We will provide the necessary training applicable to your position, but exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
