The Pet Advocate-Veterinary Center Receptionist
Location-Tracy, CA
Job type-Full time $18-$20/hr depending on experience
Experience:
-At least 2 years in small animal practice preferred.
The Pet Advocate is a spay/neuter/wellness center that provides surgical and wellness services for healthy pets. We provide affordable spay, neuter and wellness services for local animal rescues, shelters and the general public. We also offer low cost dental services. We believe a successful practice is built upon teamwork and a healthy employee culture. We are looking for an enthusiastic & energetic individual to work in our fast paced and rewarding veterinary center.
Hours- 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. No evening or weekend duty. Off all major holidays.
Job description:
-The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the veterinary hospital. This person gives the first and last impression to clients and their pets. This person must be enthusiastic, energetic, be an effective communicator and have a passion for animals. Duties include but are not limited to customer service, answering multi-line phones, completing financial transactions, client education, service offering, appointment scheduling and management.
Position expectations:
-Effective and competent communication and the ability to work in a team are a must. We will train the right individual that fits well with our team.
-Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
-Possess strong time management skills.
-Basic computer literacy-Basic word processing and data entry void of errors.
