We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our supply chain and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. If you have experience in procurement and are skilled in contract negotiation, sourcing, and materials management, we want to hear from you.

```Duties```
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's needs
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations
- Continuously evaluate market conditions to identify potential cost savings opportunities

```Experience```
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Higher Education and Banner software experience is required
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies and techniques
- Solid understanding of quality management principles in procurement
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Knowledge of materials management practices
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
