Position Interface This position reports directly to a Rod Shop Production Lead and interacts daily with other Rod Shop associates and the Management Team. Responsibilities:
Be an ambassador of the Brand and embody the Orvis culture and its core values
Perform tasks in the overall process to complete the manufacturing of an Orvis Fly Rod, including but not limited to:
Operating state of the art rod manufacturing equipment Cutting, cleaning, and painting rod sections; Assembling and installing reel seats and cork handles Affixing guides to rod blanks Inspecting work and ensuring quality control
Work to specification and meet daily production goals
Complete additional assignments from Rod Shop management
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma
Ability to take direction and execute with exactness
Physical ability to lift and move up to 30lbs
Physical ability to bend and move with agility
Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in light manufacturing and/or the use of hand tools
