JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description
Onin Staffing is currently recruiting for a direct hire Certified Welding Inspector for a client in Nashville, NC. In this role you will be inspecting raw materials, in-process work, and finished products for conformance to shop drawings, specifications, and codes.
- $24-$25 / hour
- Work in steel fabrication industry
- Hands-on experience with quality control inspections
What you'll do as : Certified Welding Inspector
- Read and understand shop fabrication drawings
- Read and understand codes and code requirements for highway bridges, railroad bridges, state DOTs
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Perform internal audits
- Understand requirements for testing of welds, bolts, blast profile, coats, etc.
- Prepare weld procedures
- Resolve quality issues
Work Experience
The preferred candidate might :
- Minimum of three years related experience in steel fabrication
- AWS CWI certification
- Ability to read and interpret AWS D1.1 and D1.3 Code Criteria
- Experience in quality control inspections
- Ability to interface effectively with shop personnel
