• The role reports directly to the accounting manager of the company.

Overview of the role: GL Accountant

• Processing daily cash entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and file accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & use tax.
• Has a strong understanding of GAAP principles.

Preferred Qualifications: GL Accountant

• 3 years accounting experience preferred
• Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team and can multi-task while staying organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel functions
