The Office 842 boasts a flavorful menu that provides Longview/Kelso area with something deliciously different. We had the foodie in mind when we created our menu featuring spicy, garlic, zesty and bold flavors, with all of our hot items being baked not fried. We have many gluten free and vegan friendly items. Our full menu is always available during business hours. Come in and enjoy your lunch or call ahead to pick up your order at our drive-thru. You can even place your order from your smart phone using The Office 842 app.

The Office 842 offers all the amenities of a relaxing internet cafe. We provide a clean, modern and comfortable cafe by day with free wi-fi and serve roasted organic coffee and espresso beans.

We also have a delicious variety of breakfast items on our menu. Come in and enjoy a relaxing morning at The Office 842, while enjoying your favorite espresso drink, smoothie, or breakfast item. Our friendly staff is always available to serve you your favorite morning treats through our drive-thu for your convenience.

The Office 842 specializes in hand crafted, fresh pressed martinis. In addition to our rotating seasonal cocktails we have over 42 specialty martinis on our menu. We even carry low cal and gluten free spirits.

Enjoy a martini or craft beer on our covered patio anytime of the year. We have two beautiful fire pits to keep you toasty or to help you set the mood.

We have a server position opening that includes both serving and bartending. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for serving and bartending in a fun, energetic environment. The position requires a friendly personality and excellent interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of the drinks menu and the ability to create an unforgettable experience for every customer.

Primary

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of The Office 842, LLC, to create an exceptional guest experience.
• Present menus to guests, inform guests of daily specials, and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
• Take food and/or beverage orders from guests.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems.
• Enter orders into Point of Sale (POS) for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Serve food or beverages to guests and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as needed.
• Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for guests properly and accurately.
• Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Pick up prepared alcoholic drinks from the bartender at the designated location. Can/bottle/draft beer, and mixed drinks.
• Understand state and local liquor laws and ensure the safety of customers and staff alike.
• Handle guest complaints with empathy and care. Take ownership of any problem and see it to completion.
• Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
• Ensure accuracy of guests check/ticket and present guest for payment.
• Collect payments from guests and make correct change when needed.
• Thank the guests for their visit and invite them to return.
• Clean tables or counters after guests have finished dining.
• Answer phones to take reservations or to-go orders.
• Roll silverware (depending on the store), set up food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as cut fruits, straws, napkins
• Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as condiments, napkins, silverware, and glassware.
• Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station/behind bar, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom.
• Fill salt, pepper, sugar, condiment, and napkin containers.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Communicate with company correspondence (such as Sling) and inform coworkers, managers, and owners of needs such as maintenance, supplies, customer issues.
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
