Description

The maintenance team at Northwest maintains a 1 acre campus comprised of four buildings and outdoor space. The team is responsible for general maintenance, interfacing with vendors, event support, and safety.

Essential Functions:

• Daily morning inspecting exterior areas of the property for any accumulations oftrash and biohazardous and properly dispose of
• Daily monitoring for graffiti, stickers, and any foreseeable vandalism that can quickly and easily be removed from campus buildings and associated infrastructure
• Responsibility for theremovalof leaves, snow, or ice from the premises
• (Security) Disarms the building’s security system and unlock doors as part of opening the building each day
• (Security)Regularly checking exterior doors that are intended to remain secure
• Inspects the restrooms between class changes and stocks supplies as needed
• When applicable, place safety hazard signs in the building including wet paint and wet floor warning signs
• Respond to any major spills or other cleaning crises

• Organizes maintenance supplies and maintains records
• Assist in records maintenance of appropriate (battery-operated) power equipment use and water replacement in Eye Wash stations
• Moves heavy equipment and furniture such as desks, tables, office machines, appliances, and cabinets
• Dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty wastebaskets
• Clean clogged drains and sewer lines
• Replace light bulbs, tissue and restroom supplies
• Construct simple items such as door stops and bookshelves; clean and paint surfaces
• Complete minor repairs and building improvements.
• Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows, carpets, furniture, chalkboards; clean and sanitize restrooms/shower rooms and fixtures; empty trash containers; set-up and move furniture required for special events;

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years related maintenance work or a combination of skills and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

A valid driver license and clean driving record.

Must have knowledge and ability to use email systems, such as Microsoft Outlook

Compensation:

Salary is highly competitive with top independent schools in the region and commensurate with education and experience. Hourly wage is $19.97 per hour for 40 hours each week.
