ABOUT THE JOB:

• Prepare and bake pastry items and desserts in conjunction with our Pastry Chef. All baked goods, from breakfast sweets to dinner rolls are made inhouse daily.
• Be cognizant of food allergies or dietary restrictions when making food to order.
• Adhere to proper sanitation, food handling, food storage, food preparation, and hand washing policies.
• Manage time efficiently throughout business fluctuations to ensure consistent, high-standard product.
• Receive, distribute and organize incoming deliveries in a time-sensitive manner.
• Plate and present food as instructed by Executive Chef and Pastry Chef.
• Additional tasks as assigned by Executive Chef, to include help with staff meals and banquet functions when necessary.
• Take initiative and work collaboratively.

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• General knowledge and experience of baking and pastry fundamentals
• Ability to properly operate, use and clean line equipment, not limited to: grills, broilers, ovens, fryers, stoves and refrigeration
• Execute safe use of bakery mixers, blenders and ovens
• Ability to clean stations at the beginning, during, and closing of scheduled shift
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions for food prep and recipe purposes
• Success with handling multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Confident asking for help when necessary
• Aptitude for learning new skills
