TITLE: Activities Supervisor

JOB TYPE: Part-time or full-time, seasonal

HOURS: 4-8 hour shifts between 8am and 8pm

PAY RATE: $17 per hour

The Activities center is where guests of all ages come to explore all that The Nonantum and Maine have to offer. The Activities Counselor should be upbeat and ready to have fun with our guests!

ABOUT THE JOB:

• Lead, supervise, and guide Activities Counselors in their roles; assist Counselors when needed and step in to guide Counselors through challenging situations
• Deliver exceptional customer service to create memorable vacation experiences
• Lead group activities with guests of all ages, including kayak tours, lawn games, and crafts
• Foster a friendly and inclusive environment; ensure all guests feel welcome to partake in any activity
• Manage equipment rentals, including ensuring all guests sign waivers and make proper payments
• Assist in developing new programming, policies, and procedures
• Model professional behavior when interacting with coworkers and guests of all ages and abilities
• Maintain and properly store Activities equipment
• Take initiative and work collaboratively

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid Certified (may attain certification during first year of work)
• Proven ability to lead a team and work as a team member
• Possess a positive attitude and confidence with engaging others in conversation
• Takes responsibility for guest satisfaction
• Confident asking for help when necessary
• Enjoys outdoor activities; physically able to assist guests with rental equipment and demonstrate use of bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards
• Delights in working with children. Prior childcare and/or summer camp counseling experience preferred
• Willingness to work alongside young people and mentor them through what, for many, is their first job
• Ability to be reliable and punctual
