POSITION:

Teachers to participate in asynchronous K-3 LETRS training/professional learning position and program are budget dependent; teachers accepted on a rolling basis.

Community School District 9

LOCATION:

Remote – LETRS Platform

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Open to licensed NYCDOE teachers in District 9, grades K-5, who are currently enrolled in the synchronous District 9 K-3 LETRS training cohort and who have been assigned licenses to the LETRS online platform.

Asynchronous trainings are done remotely.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Current participation in the synchronous District 9 K-3 LETRS training with satisfactory attendance
• Have been assigned a license to the LETRS online platform
• Willingness to implement foundational literacy acquisition strategies with K-3 students and monitor student reading progress
• Excellent time management skills

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage in the K-3 Units 1-4 asynchronous modules, up to 2 hours per unit, as verified by school administrator
• Implement foundational literacy strategies with students and monitor reading progress

WORK SCHEDULE:

Four asynchronous PL sessions, up to 8 hours (2 hours per unit), to be completed by 6/30/24

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
