The New IEM, Llc is Hiring a Logistics Coordinator Near Jacksonville, FL

PURPOSE OF POSITION:*
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the shipping activities for outbound shipments, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

  • Coordinate and monitor the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers and distribution centers.
  • Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between internal teams, external partners, and customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements for domestic and international shipments, including customs clearance and export/import regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, and logistics operations. Upload all shipping documentation, including pre-ship photos, packing slips and Bill of Lading (BOL) into WorkNet.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries, providing updates on shipment status, and addressing any concerns or issues related to logistics.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to negotiate favorable rates and terms, ensuring cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to develop and implement strategies to optimize shipping routes, reduce transit times, and minimize transportation costs while considering factors like traffic patterns and delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to established safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the manager

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external partners, and customers, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the logistics process.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including warehouse personnel, production personnel, and transportation providers, to achieve common logistics objectives.
  • Customer Focus: Dedication to meeting customer needs and expectations by delivering products on time, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a high level of service quality in all logistical activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1- 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
