The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Data Engineer to become an integral part of our technology team. In this role, you will focus on the development, maintenance, and scaling of data pipelines, back-end services, and data-driven solutions for next-generation tools to help manage and grow eCommerce channels. You will collaborate closely with front-end engineers, designers, and product managers to leverage business-critical data and collaborate on sophisticated user-focused tools, contributing to the architecture and evolution of our digital infrastructure.

You are a skilled and dedicated Data Engineer with prior experience developing robust, scalable big-data platforms and back-end systems. You have hands-on experience building high-quality server-side logic and infrastructure and you’re passionate about working with data at scale, back-end technologies, problem-solving, and optimizing for performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines, model and transform data, build back-end services, and architect the API infrastructure and tooling
• Contribute to new or existing infrastructure, and ensure ETL/ELT pipelines, modeling, back-end systems, databases, and APIs are secure, reliable, optimized, and performant
• Monitor and conduct regular maintenance, version upgrades, and infrastructure migrations as needed to keep services and databases performant and optimal.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional team members and stakeholders on a range of projects and technologies to solve technical or ambiguous problems

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong technical background working with big data cloud technologies and services such as GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, etc
• Proven experience with building and operating highly reliable data pipelines, backend services, server-side infrastructure, APIs, and Databases/Data warehouses
• Highly proficient in SQL, DBT, Airbyte, and experience with multiple backend-focused languages
• Experience in software development in the e-commerce domain
