The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to become an integral part of our technology team. In this role, you will focus on the development, maintenance, and scaling of back-end services for next-generation tools to help manage and grow eCommerce channels, ensuring they are robust, resilient, and secure. You will collaborate closely with front-end engineers, designers, and product managers to integrate sophisticated user-focused tools and elements with server-side logic, contributing to the architecture and evolution of our digital infrastructure.

You have hands-on experience building high-quality server-side logic and infrastructure and you’re passionate about backend technologies, problem-solving, and optimizing for performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain back-end services, data platforms, and API infrastructure and tooling
• Contribute to new or existing infrastructure, and ensure back-end systems, databases, and APIs are secure, reliable, optimized, and performant
• Monitor and conduct regular maintenance, version upgrades, and infrastructure migrations as needed to keep services and databases performant and optimal.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional team members and stakeholders on a range of projects and technologies to solve technical or ambiguous problems

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Backend engineer
• Proven experience with building and operating highly reliable backend services, server-side infrastructure, APIs, and Databases/Data warehouses
• Strong technical background working with big data cloud technologies and services such as GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Tinybird, Databricks, etc
• Highly proficient in SQL and experience with multiple backend-focused languages
• Experience in software development in the e-commerce domain
