Position Summary:

This position is part of a growing Fan Acquisition and Engagement team at the WNBA, with the goal of growing the overall WNBA fanbase, enhancing the fan experience, and using campaign and fan data to optimize and personalize digital marketing efforts.

This position’s goal will be to drive growth through data-driven decision-making by analyzing marketing campaign performance and fan behavior. Success in this role requires the ability to close the gap between data and actionable insights and the ability to communicate those insights. Ideal candidates will be highly tactical self-starters with a background in marketing analytics and a passion for sports.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to growing the WNBA fanbase by analyzing marketing campaign performance and fan behavior
  • Develop an understanding of how marketing campaigns drive fan interest, acquisition, and retention across the WNBA's digital and non-digital platforms
  • Track lifecycle marketing performance across key CRM channels, including email, push, in-app, and in-browser messages
  • Provide deep analysis of direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns around new acquisitions, attribution, and revenue
  • Update and refine key attribution modeling for digital acquisitions, including paid media and digital marketing
  • Convert complex findings and large data sets into insightful, concise, and easily digestible reports and presentations
  • Provide strategic recommendations to tactic owners such as channel spend allocation and audience targeting
  • Assist with A/B test design that yields continuous improvements to our fan strategies and lifts conversion rates
  • Collaborate with data strategy team to build and maintain automated dashboards that track key marketing initiatives


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 1 - 3 years in an analytical, research, or insights role- Experience with CRM channels and/or DTC products is a Plus
  • SQL proficiency is required- Experience with R or Python is a Plus
  • Experience with data, analytics, and marketing platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Kochava, or Braze
  • Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization platforms like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI


Educational Background Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree


Salary Range:
