Job description**Lanark Project Lanark, South Lanarkshire**

**Team Leader**

Our **Lanark Service** is a registered care home, supporting adults with learning & physical disabilities and other associated support needs. The service consists of two houses situated in the town which are a mile or so from each other.

We are looking to recruit a **Team Leader**, who will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality person-centred service is delivered and that your staff team are trained and supported to carry out their roles to the highest ability and standards. You will be competent and confident in your own abilities and have the capability to effectively manage a number of employees.

You will support the manager with effectively managing rotas and supervisions for your team, oversee training and development of the team, providing informal practical and emotional support to colleagues in addition to developing and maintaining key relationships with the individuals we support, staff and all professional agencies.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in mental ill health and within this position you will find yourself working alongside other professionals such as; social workers, support workers, therapists, CPNs and GPs.

You will have great ability to make a difference to the individuals we support lives. We are looking for someone who is truly a team player, proactive, extremely resilient, and energetic; you wont be afraid to work hard, get stuck in and take ownership by using your initiative. You should have experience of motivating and developing staff teams. Previous management/supervisory experience is desirable.

If successful but unqualified, you must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
