JOB TITLE: PRACTICE WITHOUT PRESSURE MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide overall management of Morgan’s MAC (Multi-Assistance Center) Practice Without Pressure (PWP) program, ensuring the advancement of MAC Members, their caregivers, and MAC Partners in developing trusting relationships and skills necessary for personal, medical, and dental care procedures to be rendered independently from the Practice Specialist – reducing the need for restraint or sedation. Oversee educating, managing, and directing of PWP team to achieve outcomes.

It empowers individuals with disabilities, their caregivers, and professionals that serve them, by providing tools, education, and training necessary to foster the active participation of those individuals in their medical, dental, and personal care. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant social science field from an accredited institution is required. Relevant fields include psychology, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, child life studies, behavior analysis, therapy, counseling, sociology, human development, educational psychology, or education.

Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of experience working directly with individuals with special needs and/or vulnerable populations who have chronic or complex conditions.
  • Supervisory experience: A minimum of five years in a supervisory role, providing guidance and support to staff.
  • PWP Training: Must be able to complete PWP training.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Working knowledge of networking software
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Ability to interpret instructions clearly and accurately in various formats (written, oral, visual)
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to foster a strong team spirit

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Technology Skills: Proficient in electronic health records or content management systems.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnoses and understanding of IDD conditions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated patience and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish or American Sign Language).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Program Development and Management:
  • Develop and maintain Morgan's MAC PWP Policy and Procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee and manage Morgan's MAC PWP Quality Assurance (MWQ).
  • Collaborate with the Evaluation and Research Coordinating Center (ERCC) to assess program effectiveness, determine future directions, and measure outcomes.
  • Analyze proposed legislation, regulations, and rule changes for potential impact on MAC services.
  • Represent PWP, coordinate, and collaborate with The MAC Executive Leadership, PWP Corporate, and the PWP funder.
Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Assist with grant acquisition and management for projects related to Morgan's MAC PWP programming.
  • Develop and maintain Morgan's MAC PWP reports, including monthly reports, grant reports, budgets, and other required documentation.
  • Monitor the MAC PWP budget closely, ensuring responsible fiscal management and tracking ongoing expenses and revenue.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process for Morgan's MAC PWP team.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the PWP team, setting performance standards, monitoring performance, and conducting annual reviews.
  • Identify and evaluate potential training and community networking opportunities for the MAC PWP team.
  • Develop and oversee meetings, in-services, and training sessions related to PWP work processes.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between MAC Navigators, MACers, and MAC Leadership.
  • Actively participate in MAC Care Coordination meetings as a PWP advocate.
  • Collaborate with all MACers to collect data, track outcomes, and support operational processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with MAC key stakeholders and participants such as physicians, nurses, therapists, office staff, and social services personnel.
Quality Improvement and Advocacy:
  • Serve as the PWP subject matter expert, resolving inquiries and providing guidance.
  • Actively participate in Morgan's MAC Medical Home workgroup, providing expert guidance to the team.
  • Effectively resolve MAC Member grievances and develop action plans to address them.
  • Analyze MAC Member feedback and provide recommendations for program improvement.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to meetings and outreach events.
Schedule:
  • Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Some after-hours work, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
Dual Responsibilities:
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to combine leadership responsibilities for program growth with direct client care for PWP members.
